THANK YOU, AND GOODBYE TO ONE OF OUR CO-INVESTIGATORS

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Andrew Page is leaving today the CLIMB-BIG-DATA team. The just-concluded ‘Microbes and Food Safety’ Hackathon marked his last day with us. Andrew has been an invaluable member of our team, and we want to take a moment to recognise his contributions. Notably, he has led the SARS-CoV-2 sequencing efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Quadram Institute and has played a crucial role in integrating resources and providing academic leadership for the Bioinformatics Team at the QIB.

He has also been a passionate and dedicated leader of the collaborative BBSRC/CLIMB-BIG-DATA hackathon events over the years. We are grateful for all his hard work and wish him the best in his future endeavours.

We are pleased to welcome Nabil-Fareed Alikhan, a familiar face in the CLIMB-BIG-DATA circle: we are confident that Nabil’s expertise will enable us to continue advancing our mission.
