CLIMB Hackathon “Strain Resolved Assembly Graphs”

From January 29th to February 2nd, Chris Quince ran and participated to a CLIMB Hackaton at Thirroul Sydney Australia.

Participants presented strategies for resolving strains on assembly graphs. Prototypes of the algorithms were evaluated over the course of the workshop on both simulated and real data. The hackaton was the occasion to start developing new software packages to release as images on CLIMB in the near future. This also provided valuable experience for the students in algorithm development and scientific discussion.
